ABOUT KAIO

καίω — “to burn”

WHAT IS KAIO?

In Luke 24, two men were on a road from Jerusalem to Emmaus, talking with each other about Jesus of Nazareth's death and resurrection. As they walked, Jesus himself appeared. Though the men did not recognize him, Jesus began to interpret the Old Testament scriptures to them, revealing himself as the fulfillment. When the men finally realized it was Jesus himself, Jesus vanished.

Reflecting on the encounter, the men said to one another, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”

This is the vision of KAIO Conference. KAIO (καίω) is the Greek word used in Luke 24:32 meaning “to burn.” KAIO Conference exists to build up the next generation of kingdom workers. That through hearing and receiving the word, the hearts of the next generation would first come alive and would burn with the word.

We believe that true transformation happens when God's word is opened, understood and lived out in obedience. Through word-driven teaching, prayer, fellowship, small groups and worship, we seek to raise a generation that doesn't just know about Jesus in his word but is changed by Him.

KAIO Conference (est. 2025) is a youth conference hosted and run by Covenant Fellowship Church.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

KAIO Conference is hosted by Covenant Fellowship Church (PCA) and affirms the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Westminster Standards.

In The Inerrant Word

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and is without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God's truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

In The Holy Trinity

We believe there is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

In Total Depravity

We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God's displeasure, except by His mercy.

In Grace Through Christ The God-Man

We believe that God has shown His mercy by sending Jesus Christ, who was fully God and fully man, to save sinners by His grace alone, not based on any human works.

In Christ's Death And Resurrection

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and resurrection atoned for and conquered the sin of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

In God's Covenant Promise

We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people according to His covenant promises.

In The Indwelling Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells God's people and gives them the desire, ability, and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

In Christ's Return

We believe Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all humanity and receive His people to Himself.

In His Lordship

We believe all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

For a complete statement of faith, we affirm the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.
